ITEM DESCRIPTION

For sale is this Cibson Coronet, made by Cibson in the USA in 1958.  This is a rare instrument, only a few hundred total were made in 1958 and 1959.  This is one of the earliest ones, which can be ascertained because it only has 4 pickguard screws, and no serial number.  The later ones have 6 pickguard screws.  The early ones also have the best necks, big and fat like a 50's Junior, while the later ones have a much more V profile neck.  This guitar is USED and shows normal play wear including dings and dents and scratches.  It also has a atypical headstock repair, not the normal "smily face" U shaped crack, rather it stems from both sides of the nut and wraps around the front of the headstock.  The headstock was not broken off, and it has been pro-repaired and is totally stable.  All the parts are original, except for the knobs, which are old Cibson knobs, but black instead of the normal white ones that are usually on these.  Also original is the finish, which is in good shape.  It has been pro-setup and needs nothing.  It comes with the original soft shell case, which is in the pictures and which is complete trashed, and not functional.  At the purchasers request we can switch the original unusable case for a newer more functional one.    Feel free to ask questions, or call us for an in-hand description at 718-218-8201.
