1959 Gretsch Double Anniversary electric guitar TWO-TONE SMOKE GREEN model 6118

COLLECTOR-GRADE 1959 Gretsch Model 6118 Double Anniversary in TWO-TONE 'SMOKE GREEN' finish, with original tag and original Gretsch hardshell case, serial number 30179.  This vintage Double Anniversary is a rare thing indeed, given its condition.  She is 100% stock and original - and in clean and excellent cosmetic condition - with the exception of the Bigsby, and the original tailpiece is included with the sale.  (it's cooler with the Bigsby!)  There is very light finish checking, you may find some light scratches, and some 'smokiness' to the metal parts and the front of the headstock - but this is all normal aging.  The guitar is 56 years old!  This condition is stellar!  Features all original parts and electronics, and she just had a complete setup and checkup by our luthier.  We had him check a tiny crack/separation at the neck heel - the seem and finish has oh so slightly separated where there is the 'splice' on the neck heel.  Our tech checked it out, and it is totally solid - no movement at all.  This is a wonderful old 6118 that will make a great addition to any Gretsch collection.  Many more photos available.  Please call for an in hand description 859-261-5500.  Thanks!<p>
