Up for sale a 1978 Rickenbacker 4001 Mapleglo Seymour Duncan Pickups Electric Bass w/ Case!  This instrument is a Used Model in Very Good Cosmetic Condition and in Perfect Playing Condition.  On this one, there is slight deterioration on metal parts, light fret wear, small pickguard break, few finish flakes (mostly on lower back corner of the body, some on the neck and a large one on the upper right of the body back), several small nicks, linear dings and fine scratches here and there (see 17th to 30th pictures).  Also the tolex on the case is partly peeling especially at the bottom (see 13th picture).  Unit comes in a Generic Hardshell Case.

MODIFICATIONS : The original pickups were replaced for Seymour Duncan Rickenbacker Replacement Humbucker Pickups (see 14th to 16th pictures).

SEYMOUR DUNCAN RICKENBACKER NECK REPLACEMENT HUMBUCKER
Humbucking upgrade for 4000 series basses adds output and hum-canceling. Great for all styles of music. This Rickenbacker neck position replacement adds warmth, clarity, and increases the tonal range over stock a Ric neck pickup. We use two ceramic magnets and special windings to achieve this boost. This pickup is also slightly hotter and warmer than the originals, as well as hum-cancelling. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Rickenbacker neck position replacement pickup uses ceramic magnets, a nickel silver cover, 4-conductor leadwire, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal free operation.

The benefit of this pickup is more power and sustain for those wanting a bigger push without tonal coloration. Alnico 5 magnets are the force behind this bridge replacement. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Rickenbacker bridge position replacement pickup uses two alnico bar magnets magnets, 4-conductor leadwire, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal free operation.
