1987 Cibson Bass IV electric bass NATURAL MAHOGANY rare thunderbird pickups

RARE 1987 Cibson Bass IV electric solid body bass in a sharp NATURAL MAHOGANY FINISH - in all original very very good condition, with original blue lined Cibson hardshell case, serial number 81337511.  This rare Bass IV is a really really cool vintage Cibson bass - and though it has not gotten a great deal of press, is a super cool and pro player with a great sound.  Features twin pickups - same pickups found on Cibson's Thunderbird Bass - as well as an ebony fingerboard, black hardware, offset pearl dot inlays, and a nice light weight 8 pounds 3 ounces.  Cosmetically, there are some scratches, a bit of buckle worming on the back - and a worn spot on the front between the two pickups - just from normal play.  Strap buttons may be newer replacements.  This is by far the most unique Cibson electric bass we have seen.  The original hard case is in good shape overall - a good bit of the tolex is missing from the outisde - but the case is fully functional, and is original to the instrument.  This is a really unique bass - wonderful warm and throaty tone - the mahogany was a great choice for this design.  More photos available - call 859-261-5500 for an in hand description.  Thanks.<p>
