1994 Fender Telecaster '52 Vintage Reissue TL52, Factory Bigsby Japan MIJ w/gb

Up for sale, a 1994 Fender Telecaster with factory Bigsby B5 vibrato tailpiece in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in the famed Fujigen factory in Japan, this Tele is a particularly rare model that draws upon a few different eras to produce a wholly unique Tele that has its own distinct look. From a very limited factory run intended only for the Japanese domestic market, this discontinued Tele reflects the high quality craftsmanship for which Fender Japan is known! Features include a mustard yellow opaque finish over a basswood body, amber tinted maple neck, and one of the earliest factory installed Fender Bigsby vibrato tailpieces seen on a Fender Japan instrument. Weighing in at 8lbs 10oz, this is a versatile Tele that's easy to play and delivers a nice range of classic Fender tones, with biting twang and sparkle in the bridge position, balanced with a smooth and mellow neck pickup that retains optimal top end cut. We've had this Tele professionally setup here at our shop, Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, and the instrument features fresh 10-46 strings and low, slinky action.
The neck has a fairly slender C shaped profile, with a smooth gloss finish and original frets that are in fantastic shape. The stock vintage style fretwire has well rounded fret crowns, and the frets retain their full, original height, playing cleanly up the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", the fretboard has a vintage 7 1/4" radius, and the nut measures a traditional 1 5/8" in width. On the headstock, the Fender Tele logo is intact, along with small "Made in Japan" text and a set of original Gotoh tuning machines that turn smoothly and work as they should.
The electronics are stock and untouched, with a standard three-way pickup selector switch and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The bridge plate shines like new and the six-saddle bridge has clean saddles that are all adjusted for optimal height and intonation. The factory installed Bigsby vibrato works very well for quick dives and surfy shimmies, jumping back to the original pitch with relative ease and working exactly as intended. Cosmetically, the guitar is quite clean overall, with some small chips along the bass side lower bout top edge of the body, and a very unique mustard yellow factory finish (essentially an opaque Butterscotch). There is a light speckling of surface rust on the control plate and neck plate, as well as a few faint finish scratches and nicks on the back, but overall this Tele looks great and has been well cared for over the past 20+ years!
The original Fender gigbag is included.
