If you want a Danny Gatton Telecaster compare the original pickups, the Joe Bardens, to Bill Lawrence pickups that took over when Barden and Fender had some sort of a disagreement.  Prior to 2004, the pickups are Bardens, including this guitar.  Gatton died in 1994.   These guitars were developed by Gatton and Fender, and became very fancy as the years went by starting in !990 with the initial run.  The Bardens have a very cool twang that does not exist in the Lawrence pickups.  Swamp ash light body, with weight on these often under 8 lbs,  The neck is a huge bat-like affair, one piece maple with beautiful figuring.  See pix below.  The markers are cubic zirconium and are all in place. Bird's eye maple.  Special Danny Gatton end plate with a Danny Gatton Serial number DG-0xxx.  The serial numbers are not chronologic.  They just dipped into the box, pulled one out, and that was the engraved serial number.  The COA dated back to 1994 by John Page chief builder at the time.  So what we have here is a 20 year old near mint vintage Gatton with Joe Bardens.  Most if not all of the case candy is included including strap and COA.  3 way pup switch which on some of the DG's is bent laterally.  I have collected these over the years and hate to sell even one.  All of mine have Bardens, that is a must.  Satisfaction guaranteed and returns accepted if not as described.  Else there may be a 10% restocking fee.  All shipping by FedEx insured.
