The story of the PRS Santana goes all the way back to 1976, when Paul Reed Smith approached the legendary Carlos Santana with a single, one-off, hand-made guitar. The Santana III is the culmination of decades of minor tweaks and changes to the original Santana design from way back when. This model has a classic contoured Mahogany body, carved Maple top, Mahogany Neck with Santana Wide Fat Profile, East Indian Rosewood fretboard, and Abalone Bird inlays. Updated electronics like the redesigned PRS Santana humbuckers, and a 3-way switch make the Santana III what it is today.

This is a "10 Top" PRS, which means that the master luthiers at PRS have deemed the flamed maple top to be a "10" - the cream of the crop - and it shows!
