The Alvarez Wildwood Series 5086 Bi-Phonic (Stereo) electric acoustic guitar were produced from 1983 to 1995.Crafted with a Spruce Cedar Cutaway Top, Ovangkol Back and Sides, Nato Mahogany Neck, Rosewood Fretboard and Bridge, Gold die-cast Tuners with Amber buttons.Features the Alvarez Bi-Phonic pickup systemThe electronics can be used in stereo or mono. In "Stereo".....two guitar cables can be used to split the 3 top bass strings from the 3 bottom treble strings, Each set of strings has it's own Volume and EQ knobs.In "Mono"...one cable is used, but still uses the separate knobs assigned to each set of strings for Volume and EQ control.This unique pickup system allows for many sound options for recording and live performance. From anything traditional to the unique and experimental. Very Cool. I never owned one quite like it before.This is a 1986 year Alvarez 5086. In amazing shape and really clean for a 30 year old guitar, aside from a few small dents in the top (Pictured) and some very light scratching on the back (Too light to photo).Frets are in great shape, straight neck, nice action, truss rod functions, all electronics function perfectly, knobs are tight with no scratching when turning. Strings are a new set of Elixir HD Light.Includes Original Alvarez Hardshell Case in very nice used condition as well. Clean, tight and as solid as can be...with some aging on the latches for character.Also, includes one new energizer 9v battery (installed) for Bi-Phonic stereo system.Thanks for looking and good luck with your bidding.
