Alvarez K. Yairi DY-69 Acoustic/Electric guitar in very good condition. The guitar has a moderate amount of small dings and light scratches on the top along with a couple of moderate dents on the bottom bout. There is a small amount of pickwear around the soundhole and a few light dings on the back of the neck. The sides and back are relatively clean. Nice natural gloss finish on the solid spruce top and Lace-wood (burled mahogany) back and sides with aged white binding on the top back and headstock.

The guitar has a nice action and the mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard has a comfortable feel. The frets are in very good condition with only mild playwear. The guitar is nicely aged a produces a wonderful acoustic tone. The instrument has a been fitted with a Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup system that naturally reproduces the tone without coloration. This is a relatively rare instrument. From what information that is available, it looks like these were only produced in 1994. The standard 60 series were fitted with cedar tops, this one has a spruce top. The body has  the slope shoulder J-45 design, the bridge is positioned "belly up" and a pickguard from the factory is clear. If you're looking for a great sounding, playing and looking instrument that you don't see every day... here's your instrument.
