Classical Concert Guitar Spruce Milagro by Neris Gonzalez. Bartolex. JP+7S Negra

This is the brand new Milagro by Neris Gonzalez JP+7S,  solid German Spruce top, Solid Indian Rosewood back and sides. Classical 7 string concert guitar, with case included.
Brand new.

Bartolex Guitars was created to provide the highest standard on classical guitars, and still keep them at a affordable price. Milagro by Neris Gonzalez are the high end series of Bartolex guitars. We use our best materials and a lot of hours to make these guitars. This is a great opportunity to get a top level instrument.

This guitar has an amazing tone, with projection and deepness.
Thanks to the lattice bracing and special thickness we were able to get an amazing sound. With good power and loudness but still keeping the wooden natural tone. The elevated fingerboard change slightly the angle of the strings pulling, getting from the top (IMHO) more vibrations and resonance.

Solid Indian Rosewood back and sides.

The elevated fretboard along with the ergonomic cutaway make the access to higher frets easier.

Another feature on this model is the arm-rest, as well as the special cutaway,  it is made from solid African Ebony. The arm rest was made in order to have a more comfortable playability on the right hand. Some players noticed that the traditional shape sometimes is too sharp and affects it.

It comes with a sound port, which helps the player to get more monitor sound. Am one of the believers that the sound port increases the overall volume-sound of the guitar, although there are other builders (well respected) that thinking this is not accurate.

This wonderful instrument also has fanned frets, or multi-scale.
The scale on the first string is 650 mm, like the most traditional guitars. The scale on the 7th string is 664 mm, more like some flamenco guitars.
The idea of making it multi scale was to provide more tension on the basses, longer scale = more tension = more attack. This not only affects the basses, every note produces harmonics and these are easier to hear in longer scales.

The first time I got in contact with a 7 string classical guitar was when I used to work for Giannini Guitars, in Brazil these are very popular. It is a vital part of Choro music, virtuosso style played in small ensambles. Anyways after I developped some 7 strings having in mind the jazz guitarist, that's why my other models usually have 56 mm nuts.
On this one we made a little wider nut, 60 mm. Getting closer to classical guitar player.

This guitar is one the best you could get. Many guitars that don't have these finishing details are being sold for more than the double on its price. The construction is solid and the finishing details are outstanding.

As you can appreciate we have put a lot of effort on this model, several modern features that won't be easy to find in another 7 string

10 corde, infinite emozioni....."

"I bought a Bartolex SPS10, and I discovered a whole new world to explore. Day after day I discover what is limiting to play on a regular guitar. The thrill that comes from playing a 10-string is unique and unrepeatable, and my Bartolex gives me new daily emotions. A great balance between quality and price ..., beautiful look, but, above all, a beautiful sound and  endless resonance. 10 strings, infinite emotions ....."??

Francesco Talotta. Italy

"First off i want to say, Thank You!!! This guitar is a complete steal
at this price. I would buy another one of these in a heart beat. This
ones a keeper. Whatever it is you, Neris and Bartolex are
doing........Keep Doing It!"

"I received a wonderful guitar from Neris Gonzalez and this guitar sounds wonderful with a loud, sweet and defined sound all over the spectrum. I have already two 10 strings and this one blows them away big time!. Doing bussiness with Neris was very smooth and pleasant. Thank you very much and I look forward to buying another guitar from Neris in the near future!"?"It's been only three days and the sound keeps getting better and better by the minute! Just awesome!!!!!"
Lautaro Alvarez, NY.

?"The Bartolex, Stage 1 guitar I recently purchased is everything it was said to be – and more. All acoustic, guitar players are nervous about buying a guitar without first playing it, but the Bartolex is as easy to play as it is lovely to hear and pleasing to see. I purchased my Stage 1 as a used instrument from Neris, but it came to me in like-new condition – and the setup was superb. Its design has such elegance – without the “jewelry-store glitter” – that it just begs to be picked up and played! So much so, in fact, that my wife, who doesn’t play guitar, even picked it up and I helped her strum through a few chords; she was delighted.? ?The Stage 1 is not a guitar for the classical purest; it is a crossover. The slender neck is not as narrow as a steel-string guitar, but it is not as wide as the typical classical guitar. For those of us who play both nylon- and steel-string guitars, however, it proves to be very comfortable. It is definitely not for those who like the a “chubby” neck, but for those, like me, who don’t have large hands, the slender neck makes it much easier to reach across the neck  and to make those several-fret stretches up and down fret board. Still, the string spacing is not at all cramped.? ?In spite of the thin neck, and thin-body design, I was astounded by the resonance of the guitar. Its sweet, ringing sound is bright and defined without being harsh. Played acoustically, the Stage 1 is not a particularly loud instrument, but certainly loud enough. And the projected sound though the sound port in the side of the upper bout provides the player with a more clarity of sound than most guitars.? ?Being a crossover guitar, the Stage 1 also has a neck that joins the body at 14th fret instead of at the 12th fret as do the necks on classical guitars. These additional two frets, plus the gracious, venetian-style cutaway, gives easy access to much higher notes. Yes, above about the 22nd fret the tone of the high E string loses its ring, but the last fret just happens to be the 24th fret (yes, 24th fret!), which conveniently marks the harmonics that do ring beautifully in that position.? ?I’ve not delved into all the possibilities of the dual-source, under-saddle/microphone pickup in this guitar, but I’m sure using it will just add more enjoyment to playing the guitar. The pickup and the built-in tuner are a real convenience making the Stage 1 an outstanding instrument.? ?As wonderful as the guitar is, I must also mention what a positive experience it was to work with Neris during the purchase of this guitar. Neris definitely went way beyond what most sellers would ever consider doing to provide me with incredible service. Not only did he make recordings of the guitar for me (I’m very picky about how a guitar sounds), but when I was on the road and unable to access my email, he personally called me to make sure that I was aware of other possible options. International sales can be difficult and are nerve-wracking, but Neris took the frustration out of it. Once shipped, the guitar arrived in three days – from Spain to the United States – in pristine condition in its very handsome, hard-shell case. Someday I would like to own a 10-string guitar. If and when I choose to purchase one, I know I will look to Neris and Bartolex Guitars!"

?"I must say I'm very impressed with this guitar. I took it to work to teach today and it just filled the room with resonance!
in fact, I like it so much I have just ordered a second one in All Solid Woods for acoustic recitals."
Nacio de Falla

"My cedar top guitar is quite loud,
easily in the projection range of a concert instrument. The Bartolex sounds nice in either standard romantic
tuning or this terz-like tuning. So right now I am working on a bunch
of pieces that I could not do justice to with my 8-string guitar. I
just want to thank Neris for designing and offering such a nice
guitar for this price."
Donn DuBois - Houston, TX.

"I just received the Bartolex 10-String. It's incredible!! The set-up was excellent -- it played like butter. The notes were even and smooth, with good volume. The top is beautiful. The fretboard is beautiful, and the tuning keys appear to be of good quality. You are 100% first-class in your business!!!"
Leo Joseph?Birmingham, AL

?"My second Bartolex 10-string guitar arrived on Friday!! It's a beauty!! You are correct when you say the the quality has really stepped up on the Bartolex. The workmanship from top to bottom is excellent. The finish is beautiful. The fingerboard is very smooth and the neck is quite comfortable. The volume is very good, and quite balanced, too. I also appreciate your first-class service and knowledge!!!!"

I recently bought a Bartolex SRC10 10 string guitar, intending it to
be an interim measure while I saved enough to buy a top of the range
Ramirez, Bernabe, Farre, etc. Having played the guitar for only a few
days, I'm beginning to wonder if I really need to spend all that cash
when I have an A1 concert standard instrument already. The guitar is
amazing. It has all the qualities of a professional concert standard
instrument - things like a beautiful clear and rich sound, eveness of
tone throughout the the range, perfect intonation, ease of playing in
the higher positions etc. The craftsmanship is as good as any I've
seen.
Rob from United Kingdom

I've had my 10 string guitar for a week now, and I've
been enjoying it immensely.  The quality of the
instrument belies its relatively low price.  It's set
up so well that it didn't need any adjustment
whatsoever.  It's very comfortable to play, and the
sound is rich and full, not thin at all.

The design of the instrument is extremely attractive.
Even the non-traditional rosette looks great.  All the
materials used appear to be of a high quality, and the
workmanship is impeccable.  I wouldn't hesitate to
recommend your guitars to a friend.

I've been playing guitar for 50+ years, and I've owned
many instruments, including several high-end classical
guitars.  This is my first 10 string, and I am so
thoroughly satisfied with it that I don't have any
desire to "upgrade" to a more expensive model.

"Just got my new Bartolex SPS8FA el 8-string alto guitar. I am a guitarist -- but mostly a lutenist -- and since I really don't want to amplify lutes, I bought this guitar with the idea of tuning it in g with lute tuning, so I could use it on gigs where I need amplification. It worked better than I expected. The guitar is very resonant and sounds fantastic amplified. And the price was unbelievable for the quality of the instrument. Only took about a week to get used to the fan-fretting as well."

Scott Horton
La Folia, Austin, Texas

"I am delighted with my new Bartolex MRS7Cel seven-string. It sings under the lightest of touches, the top end is crisp and clear and the bass end is magnificent. The best guitar I've had in 35 years of playing"

“I own 4 models of Bartolex guitars.

As an advocate, I love all 7 string guitars, but there's something I found on Bartolex that I haven't found on other brand.

First of all, it compares to the famous and expensive guitars that are made in Spain yet it carries the traditional Brazilian tone and soul. The guitars are immaculate in workmanship, refined detailing but the price tag is unbelievably low. Next is the playability.  Given the 630 scale (by special order only), it gave me more reach on the fingerboard...”
