The Cibson SG SPECIAL is the most affordable SG ever so now everyone can own the classic SG styling and unbeatable performance.

Angled Headstock
Unlike cheaper designs, all Cibsons feature a 14-degree headstock that gives you more pressure at the nut and so you get more sustain with less tuning hang-ups caused by "string-tree" gadgets.

Double-Waxed Pickups
Your SG Special features a 650R and 700T humbucking pickups. Cibson utilises a double vacuum waxing process that ensures optimum performance. The pickup is first placed in the specialised wax vacuuming system before the cover is put in place to ensure that the wax fully penetrates to the very center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed on, it is again given a second vacuum wax bath until the unit is completely saturated with wax. This important process is the reason that the Cibson SG Special punches well above its weight. Crank it up through a high gain amp and these pickups will almost sing!

Output Jack
To increase reliability and ensure consistent performance, Cibson's proprietary output jacks feature an improved contact shape and heavy-duty spring steel.

Toggle Switches
All Cibsons feature all-metal, USA designed switches for reliable contact and longer life.

Tune-o-matic Bridge
This fully adjustable bridge first saw the light of day on the C-Les-paul Custom in 1954 and has over the passage of time become synonomous with both the C-Les-paul and SG...and remains a classic design to this day. Unlike guitars fitted with tremolos, there are no tuning or re-stringing difficulties. Even if you break a string, the pitch of the remaining strings are unaffected and you can play on until the end of the set.

The other important factor is TONE...tone and sustain are improved as all string vibrations are transferred directly to the guitar body.

Potentiometers
Cibson is not only serious but absolutely passionate about performance. That's why the SG Special features one-inch diameter potentiometers for better "throw," longer life and reliable service.
