FENDER Deluxe Stratocaster, MIM

Up for auction is a Caramel Metallic color Fender Deluxe Stratocaster in excellent condition.  This particular model is the Powerhouse Deluxe made in Mexico.  The Powerhouse Deluxe is a unique model that, in my opinion, are some of the best Stratocasters to come from the Ensenada plant.  They come with an active mid boost circuit at 12db, a routed battery compartment, and the same pickups that come in American Standards.  However, the middle pickup is not reverse wound for quiet 2 and 4 positions because there is a dummy coil that makes ALL of the single coils quiet like humbuckers but still retain their single coil sound.  The tremolo is the upgraded tremolo with American Vintage guitar string spacing at 2 7/32 rather than the 2 1/8 that is usually found on the Mexican models and the imports.  The tuners are vintage style.  The neck is straight, comfortable modern C shape, and nicely finished with no fret blooms from the side like a lot of the MIM models.  They clearly put a lot more attention to detail into these deluxe models.
I have removed the tremolo cover, but the parchment cover and screws are included.  I replaced the original pearloid pickguard, but it is included so you can swap it back if you prefer it over the parchment.  If you would like me to do that before shipping, let me know and I'd be happy to.

The mid boost circuit is the same circuit as the one in the Eric Claption American Signature models and the American Buddy Guy models.  Furthermore, it can be modified to act like a Clapton mid boost easily by adding a TBX tone control (about $15) and clipping some resistors to make it a 25db boost.  It's like an MIM Clapton Signature for a thousand dollars or so less.
