This is a 70's reissue Fender Stratocaster made in Mexico. It has not been played much at all and has never gigged. It's in excellent shape with a few blemishes from normal use and comes with a soft case gig bag in great shape. It comes with a whammy bar but there was a block installed behind the string block so there's no using the whammy bar unless you remove the block. Please look at the photos carefully as there are a few marks from when the block was installed, indentations. Also at one time I was going to add all new gold hardware but only did the screws on the pick guard and stopped there, they are supposed to be actual gold plated 24k but I doubt it. The neck seems fatter than the "68" I used to have but cannot compare the two as I don't have the "68" any longer. The stratocaster sounds real good and plays well. Keeps tune and intonation is set. Naturally it seems to distort or have a bit of a grittier sound from the pick ups as I remember from the "68" which was the cleanest stratocaster I have ever heard. I used to have a "62" and was a lot grittier than this 70's reissue being auctioned here. Nice guitar for the right player. Has a five way switch.
