This is a 2002 Standard Fender Stratocaster that we custom finished with a reactive Multi-Media finish. This guitar is all genuine Fender and was purchased as a fully playable Strat. It is 14 years old but looks new except for the reliced hardware. I decided to do something unique with the hum drum finish and have been creating these for 3 years now. I've sold several of these and there have been no problems. All my customers have been overjoyed by the work. And, it plays well and sounds great. The great Fender sound you want with an original look. I have left the logo and serial number visible to prove this guitars pedigree. It has been completely refurbished and setup from scratch with new Diadarrio 09 strings. I have cleaned the parts and set the bridge up for perfect string height and intonation. This guitar really plays great! And it is a show stopper with a Work-of-Art Custom Finish. The front and back are Blue, Red and Green corrosive epoxy paint splattered on to mix and create hammered and fractured effects. The sides are Gold Metalflake with a texture to the whole creation. This is covered with several layers of clear coat to lock everything in place and make it moisture proof. This finish will last a lifetime if taken care of properly as you would any other finish.

Mixed Media Guitars

This is a finish I developed using Solvent Based paints that dry to an epoxy like hardness and shine. The colors are very vibrant and the intent is for the media to self-mix and be a part of the creation process. That is why you see the swirls and fractal crackling and hammered look. The guitar with this finish can be played as normal but a ding will chip it like it would any other finish. There are a few common sense guidelines to follow in the care of this finish.

1. Do not clean Mixed Media Guitars with anything but a damp cloth with water only. No polish, no guitar cleaner and no wax.

2. Keep guitar away from heat sources. Do not sit near radiators, space heaters or in a car or any other place that might get over 120 degrees.

You can use your normal products for the neck, fretboard and other areas but keep these products off the body! As I said these are common sense procedures and I hope no one would leave a guitar they care about in a car or a hot day but this is for those special people. if these procedures are followed you can expect many years enjoyment from this exciting One-of-a-Kind Art Object as with any other guitar finish.
