Fender Stratocaster Special MIM Made in Mexico 1995 Telecaster

This is one of the sweetest guitars I own.  I am downsizing my collection and loved the neck so much I transplanted it onto a old telecaster that has been with me for a long time.  This body is complete with a completely wired pick guard with 3 random fender single coil pickups I had lying around.  
This body came off the best stratocaster that Fender ever produced.  1994-1997 Fender produced a Stratocaster called the Fender Stratocaster Special.  It originally had S-S-H setup with a 3 way switch one volume, one tone and a coil split switch.  They all came with black pick guards and the versions that had translucent finishes always had the prettiest body woods.  I have owned 8 of these models and through the years dwindling my collection down to the 2 that I could not live without.  I had this setup to be my "David Gilmour" stratocaster, hence the single coils with white covers and black pick guard.  I do not use the tremolo so i locked it down with 5 springs.  Body is PERFECT!!!!!  Minus 21 years of playing.  This guitar has never been really played outside of my studio.  
Quick research revealed that this model is a poplar body with an ash veneer, pretty cool.
