This guitar was handmade by a pro builder in the Historic G&L Plant on Fender ave in Fullerton California.  Here we have the ASAT Classic Leo Fender desinged in 1980 but modded slightly for the Nashville Session style player that wants something extra.  And wow extra is what you get with this guitar.  The basic idea for this kind of arrangement has been long established in the Nashville session player scene, where players often install a Strat style pickup in the middle position of a telecaster and swap the 3 position switch selector with a 5 way unit.  That's exactly what you have here.  This model has Leo Fenders MFD trademarked S-500 pickup added in the middle and and Leo's ASAT classic MFD pickups on each side.  Then they added the Push/Pull tone pot to combine pickup combinations to give you a sonic depth only G&L can give you.  This guitar has a high quality maple neck, swamp ash body, and all USA made and installed Electronics and hardwar right down to the Sperzel USA made high grade tuners.  In addition like all ASAT classics it has 6 individual brass saddle bridge designed by Leo Fender that give you great sustain and tone.  Plus Pleked high grade jumbo frets that give you silky smooth playability.  This guitar plays with ease and so fast...I play them all when they come in and this guitar is very comfortable with a body scope cut-out and very comfortable slim C neck design.  You deserve to bring your playing experience on stage and in the studio to a whole new level and that will happen with this beautiful Lake Placid Blue hand Painted Beauty.
