From the Hand Wound MFD Pickups and Fulcrum Vibroto designed by Leo himself to the Hand painted body, this is a custom built professional instrument made on Fender Ave in Fullerton CA. The G&L S-500 debuted in 1982 as Leo’s own evolution of the traditional double-cutaway bolt-on axe, delivering innovations including the trademark Dual-Fulcrum vibrato and Magnetic Field Design trademarked single-coil pickups, each designed by Leo Fender himself. These MFD pickups deliver a bright and sparkly top end and robust bottom end, all without losing midrange focus.

This is the newest color Tangerine Metallic on an Empress body 6.9lbs. This also features Leo's dual Fulcrum vibrato that is so easy to use and goes up and down. A beautiful piece of engineering alone. The S-500 has the fantastic mini toggle, which turns a couple pickups into mini humbuckers at a flip of a switchm Then you have silky smooth playability with the unique Pleked jumbo frets, bone nut and great action. All parts including the Sperzal Tuners are made in the USA. This also comes with a deluxe USA G&G black tweed case free.
