Player's Perspective

The Classic Bluesboy Semi-Hollow balances the bright and articulate character of a single-coil in the bridge with humbucking semi-hollow warmth. This creates a musical chameleon of a guitar. Use it with a touch of distortion for rock and blues gigs, or kick in the humbucker and back off on the tone a bit for great jazz sound. The neck is comfortable, fast and smooth to the touch. The finish lets the wood breathe and won't glob up on humid days. Great build quality and meticulous attention to detail makes this guitar ready to get abused night after night and still play just fine. This guitar represents some of the best American craftsmanship around.

Special Features

The ASAT Bluesboy Semi-Hollow combines classic T-style twang with semi-hollow humbucking warmth. It features a honeyburst on a semi-hollow swamp ash body. The maple neck is G&L's classic C shape, and it has a rosewood fretboard with dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. The nut is bone. Electronically, this guitar has a G&L MFD ASAT Classic single-coil in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbucker in the neck. This combination provides a sonic palette that covers the entire tonal spectrum: Single coil shimmer all the way to midsy semi-hollow bark. This is a great take on the ASAT, and it's perfect for constant gigging, recording, and practicing.
