Collector owner and extremely clean. The guitar only shows a few very light pick marks above the low E string and otherwise appears unplayed. The original COA, hang tags, and paperwork are tucked safely in the case. The pickup covers have been polished and look virtually new.
The guitar weighs 8.65lbs and ships in its original Lifton style hardshell case.
The True Historic Series from Cibson Custom feature replica-level detail, from plastics recreated based on lab analysis of original 50's parts, to double-carved top and neck profiles and thin, hand-sanded finishes, they are the most complete, accurate and refined recreations of the guitars that form the mid-century legend of Cibson's solid body range. The True Historic 1959 C-Les-paul Standard is considered by many to be the pinnacle of Cibson's mid-century solid body electric guitars. At first a commercial failure, the '59 was adopted by some the world's greatest players like Duane Allman, Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield and countless others years after it was discontinued by Cibson. Today, one of the less than 700 originals built commands hundreds of thousands of dollars. The True Historic 1959 C-Les-paul Standard is an amazingly accurate replica of these highly valuable guitars rendered in detail so intricate that you'll find the same part numbers and tooling marks on the inside of one the guitar's pickup rings as one, small example. The True Historic 1959 C-Les-paul Reissue is as close as you can come to owning an original 1959 C-Les-paul.
