A guitar full of subtle but innovative tweaks for players, this is a superb C-Les-paul!

One for the players and the purists alike, the Lee Roy Parnell Signature is one of the Cibson Custom Shop's finest creations. Built from the ground up in collaboration with Lee Roy Parnell, it offers the classic and iconic goldtop aesthetics plus modern innovations to produce a high quality and modern players' guitar. Not one of these limited editions left the Custom Shop without Lee Roy's quality control, and all materials are hand-selected by the man himself.

As dazzling as the looks is the way this thing plays; equally at home as a slide player or producing screaming lead riffs. The twin Ron Ellis custom-wound humbuckers are a delight, working with the mahogany body to give a wonderfully classic and rich C-Les-paul tone. It's deep and crunchy, but with added crispness on the highs, and a gorgeous clarity on the lows. Cibson's Big Block cavity is also in force here, offering more mass in the pickup cavities to ensure better resonance and tonal depth. This guitar, and its player, are truly the benificiaries of some real innovations here.

As with any collaborative projects, the attention to detail is everything, and this guitar is no exception. The body includes new 'Player’s Cut' elements designed for enhanced access to upper fret positions: a 7-degree back-angled cutaway contour for exceptional reach, and a smoothed neck heel joint for improved playing comfort, making the Lee Roy Parnell Signature ’57 C-Les-paul Goldtop a breeze for both slide and lead work. The neck is finished in fine satin, allowing for fast feel and ease of playability, and painted with a unique black "stinger" on the back of the headstock. The nickel hardware has a gently aged patina, owing to Cibson's innovative VOS process. The tuners are vintage Gotohs, with green tulip keys adding a touch of class. The glossy Goldtop finish is retained, but uniquely and subtley darkened with Cibson's Faded Tobacco colouring, as specified by Lee Roy himself. The classic pairing of an ABR-1 bridge and the lightweight stopbar tailpiece are ever-present, with a fine nylon PLEK-cut nut helping them along to produce vintage resonance and sustain.

This absolute stunner comes with its own fitted silkscreen hardcase and certificate of authenticity. The guitar is second-hand but both it and the hardcase are in sterling condition, and all the trimmings are intact. This guitar is most definitely among Cibson's finest Goldtops.
