CLASSICAL GUITAR

with floating neck

Made in Germany around the 1960s (maybe earlier)

about 100cm total length, scale lenght ca 64cm

- solid bookmatched quality spruce top with nice double fishbone edge and black celluloide binding, also around the soundhole
- very nice grained  classical maple body, lower bout 37cm, center bout 24,5cm, upper bout 28cm, sides hight 8cm, back with black celluloide binding, sides with inlayed black stripes
- totally straight floating maple neck with triple reinforcement stripes, nice headstock (wedged maple + ebony), quality rosewood fretboard, 18frets + zerofrets, original rosewood  nut, width at nut 50mm, wide at zerofret 49mm
original quality tuners
original Hofner ebony bridge with adjustable single saddles 


The guitar is in fully playable with excellent tring action (E1 lower than 3mm  on the 12th fret)
Except a well glued beginning vrack on the head, there are no cracks or other damages on this unique player guitar. The repair was well done, the connection is bomb-proof and does NOT effect tune and playability
The varnish is in good condition due to time and is showing very harmless signs of use.
The necks varnish is showing some wear and signs of a capo

The fingerboard is showing some harmless signs of wear, the frets are without signs of wear and were rounded.  The fingerboard was cleaned and oiled

The classical strings are new

RARE & UNIQUE Player Guitar !

We have seen some 494 Hofner models.....this unlabeled one is identical to them, but made with other kind of tonewoods. A prototype????
