Heikki Rousu has been a guitar maker since 1990. He has built classical guitars, alto guitars, 8- and 10-stringed guitars, lutes and steelstrings. Over 300 guitars have left his workshop and each and very instrument is custom made for the musician, which makes each instrument unique. Heikki is internationally recognized for his classical- and alto guitars. He is from the tradition of the late George Bolin who introduced the 11 string alto guitar to the world. 

This 2009 Custom built instrument is a great combination of a nylon stringed instrument with classical/flamenco character but with jazz playability thanks to an added cutaway and 50mm (2") nutwidth. The guitar has been constructed with a 3-piece Indian rosewood back- and sides, fan braced German spruce top, rosewood bindings, rosewood bridge, mahogany neck with ebony fretboard, rosewood headstock overlay, gold 3-on-a-plate tuners with ebony knobs and rosewood soundhole ring. The entire guitar has been finished with the French polish method making for an extremely resonant guitar. The sound and build quality of this guitar reminds me of extremely of Poljakoff; warm, nice and dry with  excellent playability and amazing note separation! Some years of light use have left a few nailmarks in the delicate French polish finish but the guitar is in overall excellent condition. Includes hardshell case.
