This eBay sale is for one set of two J-Bass style single coil pickups for electric bass guitar and includes one bridge and one neck position pickup. The bridge pickup is wound clockwise, its magnetic orientation is North up and has a DC resistance of approximately 7.6 to 7.8 k-Ohm; the neck pickup is wound counter clockwise, its magnetic orientation is South up and has a DC resistance of approximately 7.2 to 7.4 k-Ohm. Black covers and mounting screws are included with these pickups.

I can offer these pickups either with vintage style cloth insulated output leads or with modern style externally shielded output leads.

Also- you can select from any of the following magnet types: AlNiCo-II, AlNiCo-III or AlNiCo-V.

AlNiCo-III magnets have the lowest magnetic field strength and offer a smooth warm tone with reduced output; AlNiCo-II magnets are stronger than AlNiCo-III and offer higher output, sharper attack on the notes; AlNiCo-V magnets are the highest strength magnets I offer for these pickups and offer moderately high output, sharper attack and brighter tone.

The coil of each pickup is surrounded by grounded shielding that is very effective in eliminating noise from external electric fields.

If deep full yet articulate bass tone with reduced noise is your goal, these pickups deliver the goods.

These pickups feature vintage style materials and the highest quality methods of construction:

• AlNiCo rod magnets
  
• Vacuum potted in forming wax to eliminate microphonic squeal
  
• Grounded shielding on the pickup coil and shielded output leads
  
• Neck pickup is reverse polarity/reverse wound with respect to the bridge position pickup.

Each pickup is individually hand made by custom guitar designer and builder Pete Biltoft at the Vintage Vibe Guitars facility. 

Installation of pickups is relatively easy, but does require that you have a good quality soldering iron (25 watt pencil type recommended, such as the Weller WTCTP) and a good quality multimeter (Fluke model 10, for example) to check your work. In addition, the reference book Guitar Player Repair Guide, published by Hal Leonard Publishing Corp, ISBN 0-87930-291-7 is recommended.

These pickups are guaranteed for 5 years from date of purchase for the original purchaser and will be repaired or replaced free of charge assuming there is no obvious physical damage. Details of the warranty are included on the specification sheets provided with each pickup.

Delivery outside the US: Customs has been causing delays with delivery to some foreign countries. I must include in each package an invoice showing the full amount of the value of the product shipped. This amount must match the amount declared on the customs declaration.
