Ovation Legend C2077 AX Deep Contour Acoustic-Electric Guitar in excellent condition. Classic Black finish with white binding and gold hardware. The guitar is set up with a nice action and the neck with a bound ebony fretboard has a comfortable feel. The frets are in excellent condition. The deep bowl gives the guitar a great acoustic tone while the OP-Pro Studio advanced electronics with harmonic enhancement and compression is designed to meet the needs of professional guitarists. Includes the original Ovation Hard Shell case.

The Ovation Legend 2077 AX Deep Contour Acoustic-Electric Guitar features a hand-selected, deluxe AA solid-spruce top with LX scalloped bracing. The guitar's Deep Contour Bowl composite body maximizes acoustic output and is ergonomically designed for comfort in any playing position. A cutaway offers full access to the gloss-finished, 5-piece mahogany/maple neck, and the traditional center soundhole is inlaid with an oak-leaf rosette and adorned with mother-of-pearl. With its onboard compressor, the OP-Pro Studio preamp enhances strummed chords, fingerpicked arpeggios, and single-note solos.

Deep Bowl
Ovation's Deep Bowl body generates maximum unamplified volume and enormous low end, yet it's easier to hold and play then a traditional jumbo-body guitar. Models sporting Deep Bowl bodies also perform impressively when plugged in, thanks to Ovation's advanced onboard electronics. A "sonic cannon" that shines either unplugged or through a sound system or stage amp, a Deep Bowl Ovation offers the best of both electric and acoustic worlds.

Advanced Neck System
A lightweight dual-action truss rod makes precision adjustments simple. Carbon fiber stabilizers keep the fingerboard perfectly aligned at the neck/body joint.

OP-Pro Studio
The OP-Pro Studio combines state-of-the-art audio quality with exclusive features designed to meet the needs of professional guitarists. The easy-to-operate unit offers 3-band EQ, exciter and compressor/limiter circuitry, and a chromatic tuner. Ovation's exclusive Expressor and Drive sliders put dynamic control and harmonic enhancement at your fingertips, allowing you to dial in the precise amount of sustain and punch required by the music.

The Op-Pro Preamp is voiced to give you arena-sized sound with a minimum of eq gymnastics. Every improvement comes directly from the needs of pro players and sound.

How the OP-Pro Studio Works:

GAIN: Adjusts the overall output level of the preamp. Turning clockwise increases sound level; counterclockwise decreases level.
LOW EQ: Boosts or cuts the low frequency elements of the guitar’s sound. If moved above the center position the amount of bass, or low frequency power, is increased. Below the center, these sounds are reduced. In the center detent position, the preamp does not affect these frequencies.
MID EQ: Boosts or cuts the middle frequency elements of the guitar’s sound. If moved above the center position, the amount of mid frequency power is increased. Below the center, these sounds are reduced. In the center detent position, the preamp does not affect these frequencies.
HIGH EQ: Boosts or cuts the high frequency elements of the guitar’s sound. If moved above the center position the amount of treble, or high frequency power, is increased. Below the center, these sounds are reduced. In the center detent position, the preamp does not affect these frequencies.
DRIVE: Increases or decreases the depth of harmonic enhancement from the exciter circuit. Turing this control clockwise increases the harmonic content of the sounds in the range of open string fundamental frequencies as well as the guitar top frequencies. This provides a richness to chording and a woody timbre to upper register solo performance. This control is used in conjunction with the “Expressor” slider (see below) which regulates the amount of the harmonic content mixed with the piezo signal.
EXPRESSOR: Simultaneously controls the mix of the exciter and sets the threshold of the compressor/limiter. This slider allows the player to set the playing level where the compressor/limiter circuit engages. Once set, when the player increases playing level above this selected level, the output of the preamp output increases is only a fraction of the playing level change. This feature allows the performer a greater dynamic playing range without negative effects on the perfomance mix or creating headroom issues for mixers or amps. Once the threshold setting of this control is established, the Drive control can be set to achieve the desired harmonic enhancement appropriate with the established compressor/limiter setting.
TUNE: Activates the built-in tuner function. Pressing this switch once mutes the output of your guitar and turns on the automatic tuner referenced to A440Hz. If you need to tune to some other reference, like an out-of-tune piano, tune one of your strings to the corresponding note on the other instrument. While that note sustains on your guitar, press the tune button a second time. Tuning is now referenced to the other instrument. Simply tune the remaining strings as usual. To conserve battery power, the tuner will automatically deactivate after one minute, returning to the default A440. Holding down the tune button for about 2 seconds will turn off the muting feature and tuner at any time. The tuner is fully functional without plugging in (battery must be installed).
BATT. LOW: The LED performs several functions. First, when an appropriate plug is inserted into the guitar’s output jack, this LED will briefly glow red to indicate power-up. Second, the LED will flash red when the battery is reaching the end of its useful life.

Patented Pickup
Six separate elements sense both string and top vibration, giving you a better string-to-string balance, no matter what string type or guage you use.

Scalloped Bracing
Play an AX and prepare to be impressed by the hugeness of the acoustic sound. Deeper, richer but with the legendary Ovation balance and clarity.

Lyrachord Body
The smooth, hard composite Lyrachord GS body improves projection and reflects top vibrations better than traditional material and is now even lighter and stronger. Includes case.

This is a Manufacturer Refurbished guitar. These guitars are sent directly from the manufacturer to the authorized refurbishing center where they are fully inspected and cleared by a certified technician. In order to prevent false warranty claims, the back of the headstock is lightly stamped "used" or "2nd" (under the leg rest on Steinberger), the original serial number has been replaced with a new one by the authorized refurbishing center. On some models the used stamp may be very light and hard to see.
