The "pickguard" is actually just an inlaid outline...there is no actual plastic guard or anything...it's really a unique and incredibly attractive design.

Plays like a dream, with perfect action and intonation all the way up and down the neck...it's really indescribable.  Those of you who are aware of the quality of Skervesen Guitars, will know exactly what I'm talking about.  The Fingerboard is natural wood shade in person...the photos make it look very white, but its a nice shade of maple...I just love this guitar!
