Ibanez has long described Artwood as a "modern approach to acoustic guitar tradition." The AVD1NT Artwood Vintage 12-Fret Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Ibanez is a pre-war dreadnought-style guitar with a 12th fret joint for a robust sound and an old school slotted head with butterbean knobs that harken of yesteryear.

The AVD1NT also features a bone nut to deliver a well-balanced sound and a bone saddle on a distinctively contoured r-sewood bridge with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. There's plenty of tone and projection thanks to the combination of solid Sitka spruce top, mah-gany neck, back and sides, and r-sewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a single-ring abalone rosette and a wooden mosaic backstrip inlay.
