Like the 200 Series, the 114ce Sapele/Spruce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar incorporates laminate back and sides, which offer extra resilience to fluctuating climate conditions, and a slightly narrower 1 11/16-inch neck. It's one of the best full-size guitars you'll find for the money, especially with the availability of Taylor's ES-T pickup. It makes a viable performance tool, a great entry-level guitar, or a second utility guitar for alternate tunings. Tonewood As a guitar soundboard, or top, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era. It's used on 85-90 percent of the guitars that Taylor makes. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from aggressive strumming and flatpicking to fingerpicking. Sitka spruce is Bob Taylor's personal favorite for an all-around great guitar.

This guitar is NEW and in pristine condition! We used to be a Taylor dealer, but now we are not. This guitar is a 2011 model and has only been on display behind a glass door since then. Please see item pictures for visual representation of item condition.
