this is wired to switch on the bridge pickup is any 5 way switch position. so you can get neck/bridge and neck/middle/bridge.

this is fitted with a 0.001/150k mullard mustard treble bleed kit. so you don't get any change in tone as you turn down the volume

neck tone control  CTS A250k 450 series 

Fitted as standard to all USA Strats and teles, CTS pots have just a 10%  tolerance for greater consistency & accuracy and are considered by many to be more robust and reliable than any other pot on the market.

this is fitted with a 0.015uf  K40Y-9 capacitor for the Clapton woman tone

Fender.com describes their TBX tone control—which stands for “Treble Bass Expander”—as follows:

“This detented, stacked 250k/1 Meg control enhances your tonal palette without the use of a battery. From 0 to 5, the TBX is your standard tone control, but once you pass 5 you start to decrease the resistance, which allows more bass, treble, presence and output to flow to your amp.” in the centre detent position the pot is in the NO LOAD state so if you set the 5 way switch in position 2 neck tone at 10 and tbx centre and push push up you will have all 3 pickups going stright to your amp

A lot of people think of the TBX tone control as a treble boost, but that’s not quite accurate. The TBX control actually consists of a custom dual-ganged pot (aka a “stacked” or “stereo” pot), a resistor, and a capacitor that cuts the bass and treble out of the circuit, depending on which way you turn the knob. This can add some new dimension to your solo parts, especially if you are going for those bright, crystal clear Jeff Beck tones.

this is fitted with a 0.047uf K40Y-9 capacitor to replace the cheap nasty poly cap that fender supply with the TBX

The K40Y-9 are high quality paper in oil capacitors made for military. The conductor is made of aluminium foil and the dielectric is oil saturated paper,
glass sealed in a metal body. These capacitors provide excellent sonic characteristics, high tolerance is kept within a wide temperature range.

Premium quality audio capacitor for use in a variety of high end applications - great for hifi and guitar amps. Considered by many to be the capacitor of choice in guitar tone circuits
