Tippin OO 12 Fret Acoustic Guitar "the TREE?"

Adding this to the listing as I've been asked about this guitar being from "the tree."  For those that don't know about this, google Honduran mahogany, the tree.  I phoned Bill Tippin inquiring about this and he was very generous with his time and story.  I will try and attach the letter he emailed about his particular tree wood.  What he shared immediately is that "no, it isn't from that tree but is indeed from a tree." :)  Funny man.  As it turns out, there is little to no question this is a same species mahogany and from a similar era.  Please see letter below, as I'm not a tech guy.

Selling my Bill Tippin OO 12 fret guitar.  I've played for 40 years and this is the most inspiring, purest of sound guitar I've ever played.
Plays like a dream.  The 12 fret design is absolutely addicting as it is so comfortable to reach first position.  It's a guitar you don't want to put down!
Very likely the best guitar you will ever own.
Money back guarantee if not thrilled.

Before I get carried away with the description please search youtube for FaziosMusic Bill Tippin OO , to enjoy a clip of this guitar.  Brian plays the guitar beautifully yet only scratches the surface of what this beauty will do.  And it's true, my fuzzy photos don't do her justice.
Serial #0700114.  Built in 2000.
Quilted Mahogany
Adirondack Spruce
12 fret to the body
Herringbone trim
1 3/4" nut, 2 5/16" string spacing.

Besides the gorgeous woods, the mahogany nearly glows, and impeccable build,
what sets this guitar apart, is quite simply, the TONE!
The clarity leads the ear to places you didn't realize.  You will hear leading tones and passing chords that you weren't aware of.  I promise.  This guitar will make you a better musician!

It is hard to believe this is a OO size guitar.  The mids and lows are balanced and gorgeous, but the highs are as full and round as it gets.  I've never heard a guitar like this.  In the Fazio video, Brian eventually states,  this doesn't sound like a 12 fret OO guitar and doesn't sound like a Mahogany guitar.  He's so right on.  All the clarity and warmth of mahogany is present, but there is more complexity, depth, and my goodness, shear volume that again, is hard to imagine this little guitar can produce.  Everyone who hears it, comments on how, yes, there's a brightness of tone but never brittle, so rich and full.

Nearly forgot.  Last year I sent this guitar to Mr. Tippin for some set up work.  This is an earlier guitar of his, built in 2000, and he told me we should reset the neck and refret it.  I agreed.  It's like new only better.  He also recommended to lightly scallop the bracing as he is doing to his current guitars.  I agreed, as long as it didn't change the overall beautiful tone.  He stated it would only open up the bass even a tad more.  He was right.  In the last year I have played this guitar a lot, and have witnessed the real opening of a guitar.  This guitar is blooming and will only get better if that's possible.

I'm a mixed style player.  Finger pick some, hybrid, and flat pick as well.  Before I purchased this guitar a few years ago I had Brian at Fazios  send me an additional video with him doing some strumming with a pick, Wagon Wheel style stuff.  I needed to know the guitar would handle this as well as finger style.  It's fantastic!  The Adirondack top allows aggressive playing if you need.  Boom chuck rhythms are strong, balanced and sweet, and frankly loud if you want.  The volume is surprising when you dig in but even with the smaller body size the tone remains clear, doesn't get over driven or distorted.

Cosmetically in excellent condition.  I have played it a lot though.  Very light fingernail and pick marks below the strings.  One tiny ding above the sound hole.

I have a long history of selling guitars that are better than described.  I welcome a phone call to talk over this guitar.  I realize it is a big purchase.  This is not a thinning of the herd as so many guys are doing.  This is a heirloom "keeper" guitar in every sense that I never intended to sell.  Unless you are a very blessed player, this will be the best guitar you ever own.   Please feel free to phone me, Jimmy, pacific time at (206)721-3206

And, if you call me and we decide this guitar will be a good fit for your needs, I will happily refund your purchase, minus shipping of course, if after a few days of playing you decide it isn't right for you.  I'm confident you will find this guitar to be everything and more I've described.
