The classical guitar, sometimes also called a Spanish guitar (referring to its origin, not the music played on it) or nylon string guitar, is a musical instrument from one of the most popular family of musical instruments.

The classical guitar differs from the acoustic or folk guitar by nylon strings (the bass strings usually being of nylon wound with a thin metallic "thread") which are usually plucked by the guitarists fingers. A plectrum may also be used. Classical guitars are favoured by students and Teachers for their softer feeling strings which are much more gentle on little fingers than steel string guitars.

The name classical guitar does not mean that only classical music is performed on it - instead all kinds of music (classical, jazz, folk, etc.) can be performed on it.

Valencia have been delighting budding musicians with their hand crafted instruments since the 1970's...even my Guitar students used them at Mitcham Primary School in Adelaide in the 1980's!

Method of Delivery:

All goods are dispatched within Australia by either Australia Post or Courier.

Delivery Time:

Delivery to most Australian destinations will take approximately 3-5 working days - remote areas will take longer. Please read our **Delivery Time disclaimer above.

Transit Insurance:

Unless otherwise stated, your item is not covered by Transit Insurance.

You have the option to purchase transit insurance to the value of their item/s. Insurance charges are very reasonable and vary from item to item. Please contact us for a quote before paying for your item. If you decide to insure your item against loss or damage in transit you can request an ammended invoiced.
We recommend that transit insurance be purchased as we are unable to cover for any damage in transit or lost packages.

Making a Transit Insurance Claim:

If your item is insured and a claim needs to be filed (when an item is received damaged or Australia Post confirms the item as lost after an investigation), you will receive full reimbursement prior to filing a claim.

If your item is not insured and is suspected of being lost, we are more than happy to assist by tracking the item and starting an investigation with Australia Post to find it (only the sender of the item can initiate this). The investigation can take 4 – 5 business days, after which Australia Post will contact us with an outcome. In the unlikely event that an item is lost, we will assist you all we can to find it but will need your help and understanding. Where Australia Post declares the item as lost, they will not provide a refund for the contents of the item.

International Customers
