VINTAGE 1950'S KAY K-27 17" JUMBO WESTERN ACOUSTIC GUITAR Project RARE! L@@K!!!

Selling a Rare 1950's Kay K27 17" Western Jumbo Acoustic Guitar Project!!! This is a U.S. Made Kay from the Chicago Kay Guitar Factory. Old Growth Solid Spruce Top with Martin style X-bracing! Maple Back and Sides, and a big beefy Maple Neck with what appears to be either Ebony or Rosewood figerboard. Rosewood ? bridge with real bone bridge pins! This model was only made between 1952 and 1956.  Big guitar with a big mellow piano-like sound! Shortly after it was purchased in the 1950's the original owner installed an early 50's Kay surface mount pickup. This sounds great through an amp! Looks like something Elmore James might have done back in the day! This guitar looks extremely cool! Normal wear for a 64 year old guitar.  The bindings on the neck and body has shrunk which is normal, the nut is real bone but a replacement and is slightly short on the edges and should be replaced, tuners are not original but work, again should be replaced. Selling as a "project" as is as described, will probably needs a good setup from a qualified service person. We do not see any structual repairs or issues with this guitar but that does not mean there aren't any, the volume pot does cut out when you turn it, it could be dirty or possibly needs replaced, frets all look good, with light wear in the first three frets, neck looks straight, comes with a brand new Guardian hardshell case ($130.00 value). We are also including the adjustment tool for the Kay "Kanti-Lever" Neck adjustment screw located in the heel of the neck. and a new pack of Martin Strings. This is a great deal, and to the right person an easy project. Overall this is a really cool and rare vintage U.S made Kay guitar that would be great to play or add to your collection! Don't miss this one!!!
