Vintage Guitar 1962 Fender Jaguar Electric Guitar

Fender Jaguar is an electric guitar by Fender Musical Instruments characterized by an offset-waist body, a relatively unusual switching system with two separate circuits for lead and rhythm, and a medium-scale 24" neck. Owing some roots to the Jazzmaster, it was introduced in 1962 as Fender's feature-laden top-of-the-line model, designed to lure players from Cibson. During its initial 13-year production run, the Jaguar did not sell as well as the less expensive Stratocaster and Telecaster, and achieved its most noticeable popularity in the surf music scene. After the Jaguar was taken out of production in 1975, vintage Jaguars became popular first with punk rock players, and then more so during the alternative rock and indie rock movements of the 1980s and 90s. Fender began making a version in Japan in the mid-1980s, and then introduced a USA-made reissue in 1999. Since then, Fender has made a variety of Jaguars in America, Mexico, and China under both the Fender and Squier labels. Original vintage Jaguars sell for many times their original price.

Absolutely incredible original 1962 Fender Jaguar. The Jaguar was originally developed by Leo Fender to be the next great innovation of Fender guitars. This model is the 1st of it's kind One of The Very First Fender® Jaguars… With a 'Slab' Rosewood Fretboard. This exceptionally fine solid alder body guitar weighs 8.80 lbs. Features a Maple neck with a comfortable nut width of 1 5/8 inches and a medium neck profile. Slab Rosewood fretboard with clay dot position markers. Two white plastic-covered staggered-pole pickups with very hot outputs of 6.24k and 6.61k. 

If your looking for that punk rock or 60's surf sound, than look no further. An excellent addition to any serious collectors treasure trove. Guitar is 100% original but should be noted that in 1967, was sent back to Fender for routine maintenance where Fender repair techs found a faulty rhythm/lead switch and replaced it with a new white tip switch and a new decal was applied to the headstock for the era.
