1960s Gretsch Corvette Silver Sparkle Duke Guitar Body Neck Vintage Project USA

Gretsch Corvette body/neck.  I cannot find the serial number so I cannot nail down the exact year of manufacture but it was in the early 1960s.  It is possible that the guitar was refinished covering the serial number.  If it was, it was well done a long time ago.  The finish appears to be old and checked.  Guitar was modified to accommodate humbuckers.  This weakened the neck joint.  The wood will have to be built back up in order to set the neck properly (it moves a bit).  There are some pin sized holes on back that may be a failed attempt to solidify the neck joint.  It also appears that 2 bridge post inserts were added for a Cibson style bridge.  Finish has nicks, scratches and finish checking.  Frets are in great condition with light to medium wear (may have been re-fretted at some point).  Some minor fretboard wear.  Some guitar stand/play marks on back of neck.  Had modern tuners (10mm) when received so there are extra screw holes.  One tuner screw is wrung off but should be easy to extract.  Small crack at uppermost tuner hole.  Other than that, no breaks or repairs anywhere near headstock.  Have a few extra photos available upon request.  This is a project (a worthy one) and being sold as-is.  No case but will be very carefully packed for safe and secure shipping.  Photos are part of the description so please view them carefully.  Please ask any questions that you need to.
