What makes this guitar special: This Silvertone Model 1415 is in amazing shape for an instrument that is over 50 years old. Outside of the normal scratches, nicks and dings associated with an instrument of this age, the guitar is in great shape and plays equally as well. With a classic design that captures the aesthetic of the era, a characteristic lipstick single coil pickup, and semi-hollow construction, this Model 1415 has a fantastic woody tone with a throaty midrange and jangly highs.

Condition: Considering the guitar is over 50 years old, it is in very good condition overall. It does possess various scratches, dings, and dents throughout the body, as well as some finish wear on the back of the neck, but is still in great shape for an instrument of its age. The frets show some light wear and still have a ton of life in them. The neck is comfortable with the proper amount of relief and still plays great.

Body: Masonite and pine single cutaway semi-solid body in bronze finish. Trapezoidal metal bridge with rosewood saddle. White pickguard with clear overlay.

Neck: Medium thickness C shape, bolt on maple neck (.82” at the 1st fret, .90” at the 12th fret). 21 fret rosewood fretboard with white dot inlays. Silvertone headstock badge. 6-on-a-side open gear tuning machines with plastic buttons. 1 5/8” nut width. 25” scale length.

Electronics: Single coil lipstick pickup in the neck. Single volume knob and single tone knob. 3-way selectable tone toggle switch.

Weight: 5 lbs. 13.3 oz.

Playability/Sound:
The neck feels very comfortable in hand and should feel instantly familiar to a large number of players. The single lipstick pickup has a certain charm to it that truly makes it unique in the world of single coils, with a throaty midrange, jangly high end, and a snappy low end thump that mixes perfectly with the woody character found in most semi-hollow and hollowbody instruments.

Case:  Includes vintage chipboard case.
