Item & Condition

This 1993 Rickenbacker 330-6 MapleGlo acoustic/electric-style telecaster is 22 years old, but you'd never think it to look at her.  One of the superior early 90’s examples, at 7.7 lbs fully strung you will find the quality to be much superior to the current lineup, and their value will only continue to appreciate as fans progressively recognize all the advantages of this build—from the tuners that never get sticky, the density of the maple, the natural quality of the RW fingerboard, the lack of pigment bleeding or binding issues.  This is just a rock-solid build; the perfect example of what is for many the first and last guitar they will ever own.  The maple on this one flows in complex ripples and bursts with life and experience.

This bone-stock guitar includes a specially-sized hard case in excellent condition.  The case is 90’s era however it is unbranded and so does not have the look of the OHSC.  As of May 2015, this guitar has been professoinally set up at world-famous Eric’s Guitar Shop in Los Angeles.  We have taken every measure possible to ensure that you will love its sound and feel, just as soon as she arrives at your doorstep.  Eric’s team made sure the Rickenbacker is intonated, adjusted, and set-up with low action and new strings.  This guitar plays as good as the day it was made—and probably even better.  So whether you are a serious collector searching for a rare prize or a serious player who has been taken by the build-quality and this guitar’s unique characteristics of sound, one thing can be absolutely certain—in the hands of a musician she is ready to give a show-stopping performance tonight.

This guitar is in superb overall condition.  Looks new from five feet away.  Come to five inches and small blemishes become visible, some very shallow dings about the size of a Sharpie’s tip can be found back, and 2-3 more on the front.  Nothing exceeding 1mm depth—little nicks that barely scratch the surface.  A few tiny indentations on the neck.  Very gentle wear on the frets; they are clean, smooth, and original.  A small nick on the edge of the left curve.  There is general fine scuffing to the pickguard and also to the wood surface just above the guard.  The headstock has a few blemishes on the edges (see pics).  The keyword when describing this one is general light wear.  A conservative 8/10 overall.  You will be hard-pressed to find a higher-grade example from this era.

The years have been good to this one, and the dry California inland air has left no ill effects on the wood or finish. example.  Always stored in its case while not being played, and kept in a smoke/pet free indoor studio environment.  A few tiny bumps and occasional light scratches and mild indentations (mostly on the back side) are only are worth mentioning because of how remarkable everything else looks here.  No repairs, cracks, dents, replaced parts, or technical malfunction of any sort.  See pics for many close-ups and then ask yourself if this just might be the one you’ve been looking for.  Sold with 30-day guarantee for your peace of mind.
