500K 5 way Wiring Harness Kit for Fender Stratocaster guitar Humbucker SSH / HSH

This is a wiring loom or harness with a set of three miniature size potentiometers (A500K Ohm Logarithmic Volume pot and two B500K tone pots)  with split / splined shafts wired to a 5 way switch and a nice quality output socket, suitable for use for Fender Stratocaster and Strat clones fitted with Humbucker pickups or a mix of Humbuckers and single coil pickups. Standard Strat wiring to the switch, which is supplied with a white tip and mounting screws.

The Tone pots are prewired with "Green Hornet" style 47nF capacitors, which give a strong tone control treble cut effect when dialed in.

Please note that most standard Strats/Strat copies are fitted with single coils which would suit 250K pots better, so this kit is ideal for those rewiring their guitars to take one or more Humbucker double coil pickups.... if in doubt about your guitar, check before ordering!

These pots have a 16.5mm diameter body and short shaft (15mm total including thread, threaded part is 6mm in length, allowing a mounting plate thickness of approx 4mm maximum. The splined split shaft will accept any standard guitar knob such as those on our other listings. Please note that this pot set is not suitable for mounting in wooden cavities such as that in a C-Les-paul, as these require a longer mounting shaft. No soldering required if it is possible to route the socket wiring to the output socket through a slotted guitar body, otherwise the socket may need to be detached and re-soldered after routing.
