Item & Condition

High-octane 80’s bass from Ibanez, this is a Roadstar II, an Artist series model from Ibanez, also known as the RB630.  All original; original neck/body, pickups, frets, you name it.  An "attic" guitar if ever there was one, but it's out on the market now so it may attack at any time. Glorious mellowed white color, now a fairly consistent cream tone.  Seems to be mid 80’s, but serial numbers are unreliable when it comes to year.  The second digit suggests it is an ’87.  Of course, just see the many detailed pics below, to view the very same bass you will receive.

Hard to find style, and one of the better examples you can pick up.  A great example of ideal Ibanez craftsmanship.  It is a Japan-built guitar.  Best of all, this killer klassic was given the full set-up treatment at world-famous Eric’s Guitar Ship in Los Angeles.  We’ve got everything taken care of, including but not limited to fresh strings, intonation, nut/neck adjusted with the bridge, tuners and fretboard oiled, frets polished, action set at 5/64, electrics checked…the works.  Now we can say, this one plays as good as the day it was made, or better.  Sold with 30-day guarantee for your peace of mind.

Looks fantastic and performs without issue.  The neck is slick and comfortable.  No sharp edges.  Tuners are tight and hold position, knobs are sensitive and accurate.  No sound aberrations.  The guitar itself is not mint, but exceptional overall.  No buckle rash; a few light scuffs on the back side.  Some mild scrapes on the bottom edges.  A few scuffs on the front finish as well.  No major issues, no cracks or chips, no repairs.  Some light oxidation to the metal contacts on the pickups.  People pay for that, y'know.  The frets and RW neck look astonishing for the age.  The instrument is not perfect, but without question a terrific looking bass, fun to look at, fun to play, and one of the nicest examples you’re ever likely to come across.
