The high tension Aranjuez 600 Classic Gold goldplated brass wound basses produce this fat, warm and rich tone demanded by most concert guitarists. The A600 is especially suited for guitars whose construction tends to produce a discrete tone, for example instruments made of plywood. Plucking the low E string sometimes produces undesirable noises caused by your thumbnail scraping the relatively thick winding of that string. Aranjuez has solved this problem by running the metal winding of this nylon string in the opposite direction with respect to the remaining wound strings. Now the winding goes in the same direction as your thumbnail, so when it plucks the string, there are no longitudinal movements along the grooves , and hence fewer chances to produce that undesirable noise.
