The warm tones of the genuine mahogny back and sides combined with a Sitka spruce top make this Martin's DC-18E dreadnought acoustic-electric cutaway model truly sing. Besides its popular tonewood pairing and body shape, some of its charm lies in the solid black ebny fingerboard and bridge, tortoise color binding and matching pick guard adorn. With this model, Martin is also introducing Fishman's Aura VT Enhance electronics on this which uses the extremely advanced technology with discreet, soundhole-mounted controls for volume and tone. This preserves the pure and unique acoustic tone of each model.
