Combining a dreadnought body, high-pressure laminate (HPL) koa back and sides, and Fishman Sonitone electronics, the DX1KAE is a versatile, well-rounded acoustic electric fit for any player. Thanks to stripped-down aesthetics and a familiar body shape, you'll feel right at home playing it, acoustically or otherwise. The DX1KAE comes equipped with Fishman's Sonitone electronics, which feature a soundhole-mounted preamp with controls for Volume and Tone, allowing you to make adjustments on the fly. The HPL koa back and sides match the headstock, and create a nice contrast with its sitka spruce top. This combination of tonewoods creates an enticing sound; one that is bright and crisp without lacking in low-end definition. Dignified looks, mesmerizing sound and familiar feel all contribute to making the DX1KAE play and feel like the exceptionally-crafted acoustic-electric it is.
