I am the original owner of this 1987 Custom C-Les-paul as illustrated in the photos above. This guitar has been in my care since the date of original purchase in Dec 1987.

Background Story & History of This Guitar:
This guitar remains in its original stock form with all original parts installed by the factory at its inception.   There have been no modifications, no replacement of parts and no refurbishing of any kind.

This guitar remains today in the same hard shell travel case in which it was originally purchased by me in 1987. I purchased it brand new at Sam Ash music store located in Westbury, New York.

This guitar has never traveled outside my home recording studio and was not used for live performances. I preferred to use my Fender Stratocaster and my other guitars for live performances and rehearsals. This guitar was used by me only on rare occasions and for studio recording purposes. I was focused on preserving this guitar to maintain its new condition and resell value.

For more than 90% of its life, this guitar remained protected and locked in its original hard shell case. The temperature of its location in my home was always consistent with normal living conditions during the change of seasons since 1987.

Condition Details:
The high quality HD photos illustrated in this auction were carefully positioned to allow light and glare to expose wear, age, blemishes, discoloration of the lacquer covering the white binding trim and minor scratches almost invisible to the eye.

This guitar works perfectly fine like new. The neck is perfectly straight and the intonations are perfect as well. The frets show very little wear and the notes stay consistently in tune on all six strings ranging from the lowest to the highest notes on the neck.

The discoloration of the lacquer covering the white binding trim has faded into a yellowish color and darkened with age. Its my understanding that an expert can easily restore the old lacquer and bring the color to the original white.  The attached photos accurately illustrate the true color of the tarnished lacquer.

Cibson’s Nashville plant was opened in Tennessee 1974. All electric models and some acoustic models currently made at this factory. This facility has an average production rate of 220 guitars a day. Each guitar is built by hand and takes about 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Note: Most hollow and semi-hallow body guitars are made at a separate plant in Memphis Tennessee. This facility has an average production rate of 40 guitars a day.
