Dakota Wolf Acoustic Guitar Limited Edition Very Nice. Not the cheap Indiana Brand guitars. This guitar was made in Asia and was put out in limited edition of 200 of this Wolf model Model W1 Wolf Serial Number 030. There were other models that bear names of animals of the wild west. This guitar will be sold for parts or repair as it needs the bridge glued back down. This guitar is equipped with USA Sperzel tuners & has a straight neck and is not sunk in around the soundhole or top of guitar due to the bridge being pulled up. You can tell by holding this guitar that it is a nice and well built guitar with inlay and binding. THIS IS NOT THE BUDGET INDIANA BRAND GUITAR! We will post some info. that we have found in print about these guitars as well as post pics for closer inspection.

Information:
Dakota Guitars' acoustic designs combined traditional craftsmanship with high tech computer aided design. The guitars were made in Asia for distribution in the USA by Sound Trek Distributors of Tampa, Florida.
The Dakota models were named after rare American animals (buck, big-horn, wolf, cougar, eagle and grizzly). Each had an abalone bound headstock with a snowy mountain inlay. Dakota planned to limit production to just 200 of each model - to "create an added excitement and collectible factor".
In 2010 the Dakota brand was in use on a range of budget acoustics, not related to these models.
