The EVH 5150 III is a 15W lunchbox guitar amplifier head based on the amp that Eddie Van Halen uses himself. Packed with five JJ ECC83S pre amp tubes and two JJ EL84 Matched Duet power tubes the amp can has two vastly different channels. The Blue channel can be used for crunch while the Red channel is used for full on EVH high gain distorted tones.

Interestingly, the guitar amp features a 1/4 power switch on the back panel that allows you to drive the amp at a lower volume to easily dial-in your own roaring Variac-less “brown” sound.
