For your consideration we have this spectacular ’57 RI Vintage American Series Strat from Fender, with OHSC.  Built in 2000 at Fender’s Corona, CA Plant.  Custom pickup array—professionally routed and wired, sparing no expense.  You’ve got your stock neck/mid single-coils on there and a robust Alnico II for the bridge.  Playing the guitar, our tester found this to be a no-brainer—it really balances things out and warms up the sound, with none of the phase/temporal hubub cynics might predict.  Might not be traditional for a ‘57, but if you want a more versatile sound, it adds a dimension of practicality.  Looks great as well, natural even.  So is this the one you’ve been looking for?

7.66 lbs fully-strung. This killer Strat has been given the full set-up at world famous Eric’s Guitar Shop in Los Angeles as of February 2016.  Eric personally worked on this guitar and left it very high marks all around.  The disassembly photos (seen below) were taken during this set-up.  The original year 2000 receipt for purchase is included as well.

Ready to give a show-stopping performance at the drop of a hat, a smooth  and slick, low 1/16” action.  New strings, fully-intonated, aligned, and adjusted to ideal specifications—a perfect set-up for the Gilded student or serious pro who is looking to take this one on the road, or just spread out across the studio channels and make history.

Please refer to the many hi-rez images on this page to view the very same guitar you will receive.  Certainly not a perfect example, but to call this axe 'dull' would do disservice to what is without question a high overall physical grade.

No cracks or repairs, no engravings, no missing hardware (back panel has 2 out 6 screws––the previous owner used it in the studio and preferred to have the panel removed, some of the screws were in the case and some could not be found).  No modifications, other than the professional work done to accommodate the larger pickup (a flawless job performed at great expense).  The tuners adjust smooth and stay in tune; the neck is dead set, with a clean fretboard.  Fretwear is minimal with no ’notching’ (see close-up below for a better idea); the neck is liquid in your hands.  Some scuffs and light scratches are present.  The most notable issue is a small, pea-sized ding on the top, lower left area; and especially, there is an almond-sized indentation just above the output jack (see annotated photo below).  No buckle rash on the back; the serial panel is glossy.  Excellent condition overall.
