DESCRIPTION:

Up for auction is for a FENDER Made In JAPAN (MIJ) 1984 1962 Re-Issue Maple with Rose wood fingerboard STRATOCASTER GUITAR NECK.  This neck comes complete with the original NUT and String Tree.
This Stratocaster neck is over 30 years old and is in very good condition!   The neck is straight with no twists warps and the Truss Rod is operational!   
The old Fender logo decal was chipping and peeling off so it was removed and a new Fender 1962 Pre-CBS vintage style logo decal was installed.  The headstock was then coated with a few more coats of NITRO High Gloss Lacquer to protect and seal the decal.

The remainder of the neck still has the original Fender factory finish and the fingerboard still has the factory finish as well.
The NUT width is 1 5/8ts inches, the Heel width is 2 3/16ts inches and the neck radius is 7.25.  The previous owner had installed a set of Locking Tuners on this neck but they were not working correctly any longer, so I replaced them with a new set of 1962 vintage Classic Kluson Re-Issue style tuners to replace these defective locking tuners (see pictures).  
At one point the previous owner also had a locking nut on the neck which he later removed.  I filled in all of the old locking nut screw holes with epoxy wood filler and I matched the Amber tone Nitro Lacquer finish the best possible.  These small filled in holes can still be seen a little but have no effect on the neck.
On the back of the headstock just where the rounded top of the headstock ends, there is a small gouge that I filled in with Wood Epoxy Filler and matched the Nitro Amber finish (See Last Picture).   These small filled in spot can still be seen a little but it has no effect on the neck.
This neck is in great condition and is sold AS-IS and with NO RETURNS.
