This is the Fender American Standard 2016 Limited Edition PJ Bass 3 Tone Sunburst. For tone and feel that’s the best of both worlds, the Limited Edition American Standard “PJ” Bass mates the elegantly simple style, elemental build and feel of a P Bass® body with a fast-playing Jazz Bass® neck, delivering pure Fender bass tone from subtle to seismic. The flexible “PJ” pickup configuration combines the punch of a single-coil P Bass pickup with the throaty growl of a Jazz Bass bridge pickup for infinitely flexible tone. Dual volume controls and a single tone control (no blend) allow you to mix and match the pickup’s output as required to craft your personal voice. Includes a “Limited Edition” neck plate. This Limited Edition Precision Bass features the unusual distinction of having a slim modern Jazz Bass neck with a comfortable “C”-shaped profile (the shape of the neck in cross section). You get the best of both instruments—pounding Precision Bass sound and style with the fast fret-hand feel of a Jazz Bass. In addition this bass features a Fender HMV (High Mass Vintage) bridge that combines stylishly classic looks with superior modern intonation, sustain and adjustability for pro-level tone and performance. This versatile design accommodates player preference for either top-load or through-body string attachment.
