Fender Custom Shop L-Series Anniversary 1964 Closet Classic Jazzmaster Aged White

The Fender Jazzmaster first appeared in 1958 and the Fender Jaguar shortly afterwards. The idea was to replace the Stratocaster as the top model. One of the main differences was the offset body contour which was designed for better balanace and comfort. The other reason was to increase sales, in the Jazzmasters case the Jazz market in particular, with it's newly designed pick up's giving it a mellower sound compared to that of the Stratocaster/Telecaster. With the surf scene becoming more popular Fender launched the Jaguar in 1962.

With a simlilar look but different appointments the Jaguar like the Jazzmaster was considered the top of the range model at the time. This Time Machine Series from Fender has been faithfully replicated and is as close to an original Jazzmaster as you are going to get without having to part with thousands. This particular instrument is finished in a beautiful Closet Classic Sonic Blue finish with a matching headstock. The guitar also has vintage-spec pickups, a 7.25"-radius hand-selected rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets, white amp knobs and, in an extra-special touch, the long sought-after "L Series" neck plate.     Features
