Fender Tele/Telecaster Tone Ring Plate
Description
Genuine New Fender®Telecaster® / Esquire® Vintage Type "Pat. Pend." Tone Ring Plate.
I start with a Standard Fender® 50's Style Chrome Bridge Plate. The Bridge Plate gets SPLIT into (2) pieces, separating the “Saddle Section” from the “Tone Ring” (where the Pickup mounts). The cut end, where the Plate is cut off, gets rounded off and polished, to match the rest of the original Finish. I then add (4) mounting holes in the “Tone Ring” section for mounting to the guitar body.
Note: The overall length of this Tone Ring is approx. 1-7/8”
This Plate makes it possible to mount a Telecaster® Bridge Pickup in places that otherwise might be difficult, such as, with a vibrato. This Plate also makes it a lot easier to swap-out Pickups (for the experimenter).
“A huge factor in the sound that we call “Telecaster” comes from the interaction between the Magnets in the Bridge Pickup and the Ferrous Metal (magnetic) Plate of the Telecaster Bridge that surrounds it.”
Notice: This Plate is a Custom Order, and requires up to (2) extra days for Modification and Polish.
Mounting screws are not included. But, I recommend a #2 x 7/16” lg. Round Head for this. (Tuner Screw)
