Sound like a Martin D28 but a bit bass-ier.  •  SN tag is old, but decipherable.  Its a 1951 !

WOOD ON BACK WAS A LONG 50" piece of spruce,
it was split by Gretsch at factory,
THEN FLIPPED, A N D  T U R N E D. 
like a 45 degree silk waterfall- Not butterflied.

OF WHITE FALCON ACOUSTIC (BURST) to make a giant 45 degree angle

The Customer wanted the THINNEST - FASTEST neck Gretsch had.
AND GRETSCH DELIVERED!  they took a white falcon "electric"
Guitar neck,  Cut it with a LOWER RADIUS and a custom profile.
and Voila..the world's only custom made
VINTAGE WHITE FALCON ACOUSTIC GRETSCH GUITAR,
was born approx 60 years ago.

BEFORE THE WHITE FALCON ever had an "acoustic"
MODEL MADE, THIS WAS CUSTOM BUILT
for one customer who wanted, MORE THAN ANYTHING
the thinnest, fastest playing acoustic neck available.

This guitar is a freaking ENIGMA.   It's a Gretsch with Cibson THIN style neck.

AREAS Showing wear or modification.
• One small hole used for ELECTRICAL GUITAR INPUT. (see pics)
  xtra hole by pickguard bracket - debated by Gretsch-enthusiasts over being stock?
  Some nicer pickguard brackets did have 2 holes on mount side. 
• There was an amateur touch up to a fissure by pointy end of Catseye on right side.
• Also a floating pickup that rested on body which had some very light surfaces scratches appear touched up.
  Touch up was done in 1960's we estimate. not a pro touch up.
• Back of neck looks like finish was worn down, previous owner may have has more acids in their hand
  preparation in their hands than a standard person has?  Neck photo show the lightening of neck finish

NO ISSUES EFFECTING PLAY-ABILITY.
