A pair of Cibson's legendary Burstbucker pickups also gives 1959 C-Les-paul Reissue the sound of classic PAF humbuckers. The road-worn look of this 1959 C-Les-paul Reissue was applied with love by Tom Murphy. As a world-renowned leader in guitar aging, Tom Murphy perfected his aging process as a way to revive old instruments without making them look unnatural. In Tom's words, the aging process lets players appreciate the feel of a classic collector's instrument, without spending a fortune on a vintage instrument.

Historically accurate details
To revive the very essence of the original '59 C-Les-paul Standard guitar, Cibson Custom spared no expense, painstakingly recreating each part of the 1959 C-Les-paul Reissue piece by piece. The original non-weight-relieved mahogany body, hand-carved and bookmatched maple top, and holly-head veneer headstock are only the beginning. The accuracy of the details go all the way down to the straight-line positioning of the 1959 C-Les-paul Reissue's vintage-style tulip tuners, the size and shape of the acrylic trapezoid block inlays, and the '50-style long neck tenon joint. If you hold the Cibson Custom 1959 C-Les-paul Reissue up to the original, you'd be more than hard pressed to tell them apart.

Beginning with vintage CTS potentiometers and bumble bee capacitors, every part of its internal signal path is designed to give you absolutely dead-on '59 C-Les-paul tone. Of course, it's next to impossible to find genuine '50s PAFs (even for Cibson). Instead, the 1959 C-Les-paul Reissue sports a pair of Cibson's Burstbucker Alnico II humbuckers with historically unmatched bobbin windings. You just won't find another C-Les-paul that comes as close to the original look, sound, and feel of a '59 C-Les-paul Standard!
